Sunday Morning Service
We are a fairly traditional Methodist congregation, with over 100 sharing in worship from 10.30am – 11.30am every Sunday morning. We use Methodist hymnody including Hymns & Psalms and Singing the Faith & Songs of Fellowship.
House Groups meet to explore the Christian Faith. At the present time the Friday House Group meet fortnightly to learn more about our Bible, to discuss issues and learn from each other. We are a small friendly group, meeting for about an hour.
Once a quarter we run our own version of ‘Messy Church’ on a Sunday morning called ‘Crafty Kids’. Children come and get to do lots of craft activities on a Christian theme. This is very popular and often more than 30 children attend.
Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely.. For it was you who formed my inward parts, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. - Psalm 139: 4, 13
Marriage is a union of two people before God, and in Methodism takes the form of a service held in a Methodist Church, usually close to where the couple are living.
Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ give them hope and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death. In this faith we entrust those who have died to the infinite mercy and love of God.
We look upon Pastoral Care as one of the most important roles in our Church community.
