Hope in North East Cheshire

Ministers and others enjoy supportive and helpful links across churches of all denominations informally as well as officially through Hope iNEC. Hope iNEC is a group of over 30 local churches working in partnership and is affiliated to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. Through Hope many ongoing and occasional shared events including worship and outreach take place within the area in and around Macclesfield.

The Hope Centre
One of the main shared expressions of collaborative Christian outreach through Hope is the Hope Centre, which is an Ecumenical Coffee Shop in Park Green, Macclesfield serving a wide range of “Fairtraded” hot and cold drinks, soups and light lunches.
The bookshop stock a variety of Christian material including children’s books/gifts/resources/Bibles as well as greetings cards, Christmas cards and Advent Calendars and Fairtrade produce.
Volunteers, who are from a number of churches in the town, help to run the coffee shop and are always on hand to offer a ‘listening ear’ to anyone in need.
